Among the words that describe how green an adhesive is, you can find natural-based adhesives, bio-based adhesives, environmentally-friendly adhesives, renewable adhesives, sustainable adhesives... and it is easy to loose the real meaning! Even so, the common point of these definitions is the positive impact such adhesives have on their environment.
So far, starch-adhesives and dextrin-adhesives are from far the greatest proportion of naturally-derived adhesives, playing a very large part in industrial production, especially the packaging industry.
