We live in the nano-age. The computers and other gadgets we use are based on intricate devices engineered on the nanometre scale. Materials shaped into nanotubes, nanodots and nanocrystals are increasingly being used in electronics, composites and, of course, adhesives. In this application nanofillers promise many benefits - from the fundamental improvements like bond strength and durability to more subtle ones like thermal conductivity. Yet nanofillers' and nanoadditives' use in adhesives is still developing, so Specialchem4Adhesives asked the community where it currently thinks their main value lies.
