Its chemical structure includes three sterically hindered phenolic groups. It functions mainly as a “radical scavenger”; it reacts efficeintly with peroxy radicals, thus slowing down the chain reaction process which facilitates thermal oxiidation. ALVINOX 100 offers the following performance advantages: HIGH PROCESSSING AND LONG-TERM HEAT STABILIZATION LOW VOLATILITY in the range of temperatures normally used for processing and service life of polymers HIGH COMPATIBILITY with a wide range of polymers HIGH COMPATIBILITY AND SYNERGISM with a broad range of additives used in polymer formulations (in particular with secondary antioxidants) VERY LOW EXTRACTABILITY when in polymers in contact with water VERY GOOD DIELECTRIC PROPERTIES ADHESIVES The performance of ALVINOX 100 as processing and long-term heat stabilizer can be imporved, when used in synergistic combinations with secondary antioxidants such as phosphites, phosphonites, and thioethers. Highly efficient, hindered phenolic primary antioxidant. Used in adhesives. Reacts efficiently with peroxy radicals. Offers high processing and long-term heat stabilization, low volatility, high compatibility with a wide range of polymers and with a broad range of additives used in polymer formulations, very low extractability and very good dielectric properties. Can be used in synergistic combination with secondary antioxidants such as phosphites, phosphonites and thioethers.
