Disp 400 Sodium polyacrylate ADD APT Colloidal stabilizers / Dispersing agents >> Sodium Polyacrylate Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) ADHESIVE Soluble in water ADD APTâ DISP 400 and DISP 500 are excellent solvent-free Dispersants for physical properties (mineral) pigments and fillers. They enable a high pigment loading at low viscosity. ADD APTâ DISP 400 and 500 are low- and narrow molecular weight polyacrylate dispersants having either a sodium - or a ammonium cation. The addition of ADD APT® DISP 400 or DISP 500 results in a high loading of mineral particles at a relatively low viscosity. With inorganic pigments and/or fillers an amount between 0.2 - 1.0% of active material of ADD APTâ DISP 400 or 500 is recommended, whereas an active amount between 1.5 - 3.0% is recommended with organic pigments. This results in amounts of DISP 400 or 500 between 0.3 - 1.0% on total formulation. DISP 500 is recommended for applications where sodium ions are undesired. The very narrow molecular weight distribution of both DISP 400 and DISP 500 guarantees a high effectiveness in dispersing properties. This makes both DISPgrades highly suitable for highly filled wall paints, where high scrub resistance values can be achieved, but also as a concrete additive.
