Because of its high molecular weight, it can accept large amounts of tackifier and retain adequate shear performance. Compounding Flexbond 156 emulsion is compatible with most vinyl acetate homopolymers and copolymers. It can be blended to vary levels of adhesion, dry tack and cohesiveness. Applications: Flexbond 156 emulsion has found wide application in the mastic and tile adhesive industry since it can tolerate high loadings of fillers and tackifier resins. Because of its high shear resistance and plasticizer migration resistance, it can be used in flooring and carpet tile adhesive applications. Flexbond 156 emulsion has also found application in adhesive formulations for protective films and paper and may also be used to improve the shear and thermal resistance of pressure-sensitive adhesives. Flexbond 156 emulsion has excellent mechanical stability and was developed to withstand high-speed coating conditions.
