Metacure T-9 Organotin Air Products Catalysts / Accelerators / Vulcanizing agents PU - Prepolymers SEALANT ADHESIVE Metacure T-9 catalyst is a unique grade of stannous octoate for use in the production of polyurethane coatings, adhesives, and sealants. Produced by an exclusive Air Products process, Metacure T-9 catalyst is preferred to the usual stannous octoate products because of its uniform activity and excellent stability. This allows production of coatings with more uniform cure response batch-to-batch. Features and Benefits Used in two-part polyurethane coatings, adhesives, and sealants. Useful in systems based on HDI, MIDI, TDI, H12 MIDI and their isocyanates, adducts, and prepolymers. Selective for the isocyanate/polyol reaction; therefore, minimizing the isocyanate/water reaction eliminating blistering and bubble formation in the coating. Metacure T-9 catalyst affords a signifi cantly slower cure profi le than Metacure T-12 catalyst (dibutyl tin dilaurate). How to Formulate Metacure T-9 catalyst should be added to the polyol resin side of two-part polyurethane systems. Typical use levels range from 0.05–0.20 parts per hundred polyol.
