Akrosperse W-10126 Alkylphenolic resin Akrochem Tackifier >> Alkylphenolic Acrylics/ Acrylates Chloroprene Rubber (CR) Rubber - Elastomer (Chloroprene, Butyl …) ADHESIVE >> Solvent based ADHESIVE >> Solvent based >> Contact adhesive W-10126 Resin is a heat reactive alkylphenolic resin dispersed in a non-ionic aqueous system. This resin is analogous to solid resins, such as P-126 Resin, which are used in solvent borne contact adhesives. It has been specifically formulated for use with carboxylated polychloroprene latices. Compatibility with other elastomer latices can be determined by slowly adding the resin to the latex. An initial look at carboxylated nitrile rubber latices and acrylic latices indicates that these systems are somewhat compatible with W-10126 Resin. The pH appears to be the primary influence on compatibility. W-10126 Resin is supplied as an aqueous dispersion with a small particle size. It can be blended with latices which are neutral without any pH adulteration. If necessary to raise the pH for compatibility with basic latices, triethanolamine or sodium hydroxide can be slowly added to the resin. It is recommended that zinc oxide and an antioxidant be included in formulations made with this material. Best results will be noted where pressure can be applied to the assembled pieces after coating with adhesive. The use of heat can also improve the bonding process. The open time of adhesives made with Akrochem W-10126 Resin is usually up to 45 minutes. Non-ionic aqueous alkylphenolic resin primarily used in solvent borne contact adhesives. Formulated for use with carboxylated polychloroprene latices. Can also be used with carboxylated nitrile rubber and acrylic latices. (Can be blended with latices which are neutral without any pH adulteration). Recommended for use with zinc oxide and an antioxidant. Best results will be noted where pressure can be applied to the assembled pieces after coating with adhesive. The use of heat can also improve the bonding process. Open time : up to 45 minutes.
