P 79 Resin Phenolic resin Akrochem Aminoplaste / Phenoplaste (UF, MUF) ADHESIVE P-79 Resin is a one-step, powdered phenolic resin. It has thermosetting characteristics with a medium-to-high flow, medium-cure and set. P-79 Resin can be milled directly into the rubber compound being completely compatible with all Nitrile rubbers or dissolved into a rubber solution. A suggested method is to dissolve the rubber compound in a ketone at a 25% solids, dissolve the Akrochem P-79 Resin in a ketone at a 25% solids, and combine the two. Adhesives of this type exhibit good heat resistance, excellent resistance to oil, and high bond strengths. These adhesives do result in a shorter tack range, and bond should be made while the adhesive is wet. Adhesives are used to bond rubber, metal, and vinyl plastics. One-step, powdered phenolic resin.
