ALBlend G 017P blend of antioxidants and acid neutralizers Albemarle Antioxidants >> Phenolic Antioxidants >> Phosphite Polyolefins (PE, PP…) ADHESIVE >> Water-based ALBlend G 017P polymer additive product is a free-flowing, non-dusting, pelletized stabilizer package optimized for maximum production speed and minimum water carry-over in water-quenched polypropylene (PP) film and fiber. ALBlend G 017P polymer additive product is made from 100% ETHANOX® 330 and ETHAPHOS™ 368 antioxidants and acid neutralizers. It contains no binders or sticky, low-melting-point material. Albemarle’s patented process pelletizes the blend without melt extrusion, so the additives are protected from premature oxidation or hydrolysis. You get optimal viscosity and color stability with minimal water carry-over, so you can run your film or fiber lines at higher speeds with fewer problems. G 017P pellets also eliminate powder handling problems and hygiene concerns. Accurate additive dosing is much easier, and this helps you produce high-grade resin more consistently. Minimizes water carry-over Permits increased film production speeds Free-flowing, non-dusting pellet form Formulated for optimal viscosity and color stability 100% polymer additives -no binders The Facts About Water Carry-over Water carry-over (WCO) occurs when water adheres to the surface of cast polymer film as it exits the water bath. WCO causes a variety of problems, including film breakage and corrosion of processing equipment. WCO inhibits the high line speeds necessary for cost-effective production of PP slit-film (raffia), the slit-film used in carpet backing, food packaging, strapping tape, tape backing, release films and liners and pipe wrap. As line speeds increase, water adheres to the film as it exits the cooling bath, causing problems in downstream operations. Water carry-over is particularly troublesome when cooled film must be reheated, stretched and oriented. Free-flowing, non-dusting, pelletized stabilizer. Contains no binders or sticky, low-melting-point material.
