Alcoa Hydral products are specially precipitated aluminum trihydroxides. Hydral 710 has a median particle diameter of 1 micron with 90% of the powder within 0.5 micron of the median. This product can be tailored for specific applications. It is particularly useful as filler and coating pigment for fine printing papers for increased brightness, smoothness, and opacity. It is also useful as a reinforcing pigment in adhesives and adhesive tapes, and in waxes and polishes when a relatively soft and extremely fine mild abrasive is required.
