It is emulsified with rosin acid soap, thus it is sensitive to pH shock. It is very easily tackified with a broad range of commercial resin emulsions, yielding pressure sensitive tack comparable to natural rubber. Its high gel character lends semi-cured properties to the adhesive film in water resistance and elevated temperature performance. ROVENE® 8330 is recommended for pressure sensitive adhesives, mastics, and specialty coatings. Fast breaking rosin-acid emulsifier system not recommended for high shear mixing. Very soft pliable films, high peel, good quickstick and rolling ball tack. High gel content, hot polymerized polybutadiene latex emulsified with rosin acid soap.
