It has a high softening point and is used as a tackifier for polychloroprene adhesives and hot-melt adhesives. As this resin has narrow molecular weight distribution and some polar groups, it is compatible with various elastomers and resins and is soluble in various solvents, notwithstanding it is polar and nonpolar. It is especially good for use in polychloroprene adhesives and other solvent-based adhesives. TAMANOL 803L gives excellent tackiness and adhesion and has many other merits.
