LOTADER 3430 is an extrusion adhesive dedicated to coating and laminating technologies. It is designed to give excellent adhesion to difficult surfaces like plastic films without primers (OPET, BOPP, CPP, OPA), to printed surfaces, and to easier substrates like alu foil and metallized films. It also sticks to paper, board, and to polyethylene, either in coextrusion or in coating . Typical uses are : - Adhesive for Extrusion Laminating of polar or non polar films and foils, particularly for laminates involving OPET and aluminium. - Adhesive for coextrusion coating of LDPE / Tie / EVOH or PA / tie onto OPET or other plastic films. LOTADER 3430 can be used pure or blended with LDPE. As an ethylene copolymer, LOTADER 3430 is miscible with LDPE in all proportions, and compatible with almost all other ethylene copolymers. • Acrylic Ester brings softness and polarity, while keeping high thermal stability during processing. • Maleïc Anhydride gives reactivity, leading to very versatile adhesive properties to polar and non polar substrates (in coating / laminating), and to molten polymers (in coextrusion). • Optimized performance for plain primerless OPET, provided Corona treatment can be used. • As LOTADER 3430 is polymerized by high pressure process in autoclave reactor, its molecular structure and rheology are remarkably suitable for the extrusion coating and laminating technologies : low neck-in, excellent melt stability and drawability. • LOTADER 3430 is not corrosive and does not require protected equipment.
