VANTOCIL IB is a broad spectrum industrial bactericide with especially good activity against Pseudomonads. The pH of this formula in Europe is 4.0 - 5.0 and as sold in the Americas 5.0 - 6.0. VANTOCIL® IB is a highly effective preservative for use in a wide variety of applications including oil-inwater and water-in-oil emulsions, industrial reagents, silicone systems, cellulose solutions and oil recovery systems. VANTOCIL IB can also be used for the preservation of animal hides and skins. in a manner inconsistent with its labeling. Vantocil IB can also be used to preserve aqueous based adhesives (such as animal glues, latex adhesives based on polyvinyl acetate, PVA, starch, dextrin, casein and other glues, and latex adhesives intended for food packaging applications) Aqueous solution.
