Acronal A 200 Acrylic BASF Acrylics/ Acrylates ADHESIVE Acronal® A 200 provides excellent adhesion to a broad range of flooring substrate types. It also promotes moderate legging or web development in both filled and unfilled systems. Has only a low content of volatile organic compounds (VOC). It is very suitable for the production of adhesives that have only a very weak odor in both the form supplied and in the dry adhesive state. Because the odor of a formulation depends not only on the inherent odor of the individual components, but also on the interactions between the dispersions and the additives, no additives with "a smell" should be used. In order to obtain maximum bonding values, the proportion of polymer in the adhesive should be increased by the amount of resin otherwise normally added. Flooring adhesives based on Acronal® A 200 are produced by, firstly, placing the dispersion in a minimum unit. The dispersing agent, antifoam and finally fillers are then added with agitation. Additional thickener can be added as desired. When alkali or ammonia solution is added, the viscosity rises markedly. We recommend the addition of preservatives to adhesives produced with Acronal® A 200 in order to protect them from the attack of microorganisms. The suitability of these products must be determined by preliminary tests and checked at regular intervals. Low VOC acrylic based resin.
