Baycoll ND 1260 Linear polyether polyol Bayer PU - Polyols >> Polyether ADHESIVE >> Reactive system BAYCOLL ND 1260 Linear polyether polyol. Baycoll ND 1260 polyether polyol is used in two-component reaction adhesives and as a general building block for polyurethanes. It is particularly useful in solvent-free systems and can be employed as a component for general-purpose adhesive applications to bond flexible (fabrics, foams) as well as rigid substrates (wood, plastic, metal). It is not suitable for bonding plasticized polyvinyl chloride (PVC). It has relatively low molecular weight that will contribute to increasing the hardness of polyurethane polymers. The flexibility can be increased by blending with higher molecular weight polyether polyols, e.g. Baycoll ND 2060 or Baycoll NT 5035. The crosslink density can be increased and flexibility decreased by blending with Baycoll NT 1380 polyether polyol. The low viscosity of Baycoll ND 1260 polyether polyol permits easy incorporation of filler and offers generally good compounding flexibility. This polyol has good hydrolytic stability, which is typical of polyethers. Baycoll ND 1260 polyether polyol is compatible with most Baycoll polyether polyols. However, compatibility with Baycoll polyesters and Desmocoll polyurethanes is limited and must be checked in each individual case. Linear polyether polyol. Used in two-component reaction adhesives for general-purpose adhesive applications to bond flexible (fabrics, foams) as well as rigid substrates (wood, plastic, metal). Offers low molecular weight, low viscosity, easy incorporation of filler, good compounding flexibility and good hydrolytic stability. Possesses compatibility with most polyether polyols. Increases hardness.
