Erisys EMUA-11 Urethane modified bisphenol A epoxy resin CVC Epoxide (EP) >> Bisphenol A based ADHESIVE ERISYS® EMUA 11 Epoxy Resins Modified with a Thermoplastic Polyurethane ERISYS EMUA-11 is a standard Bisphenol A epoxy resin system which has been modified with a select thermo-plastic polyurethane (TPU). EMUA-11 was designed to provide adhesion to vinyl; as an example, sports sur-faces, but at a lower viscosity than EMUA-10. Curing agent selection, to obtain adhesion to vinyl, is very impor-tant. CVC recommends evaluating polyamides and ami-doamines for this application. Choose your curing agent based on viscosity and pot life considerations. For very difficult to bond surfaces the addition of from 1 to 5 phr M-Pyrol to your formulation is suggested. The solvent will help “bite into” the vinyl surface, and will reduce the viscosity of your formulation. ERISYS EMUA-11 can also be used as a resin which will help to flexibilize and toughen formulations. Adhesives for PVC Toughening or flexibilizing resin Improvement of peel strength Improvement of thermal shock resistance Thermoplastic polyurethane modified bisphenol A epoxy resin. Used in adhesives for PVC, as a toughening or flexibilizing resin and as a modifier to improve thermal shock and peel resistance. Provides adhesion to vinyl at low viscosity. Can be used in combination with curing agents such as amidoamines and polyamides. Applications : vinyl sports surfaces.
