Erisys GE-20 Neopentyl glycol diglycidyl ether 17557-23-2 CVC Coalescing agents (Glycols) Epoxy (EP) ADHESIVE ERISYS â GE-20 Neopentyl Glycol Diglycidyl Ether Aliphatic Difunctional Epoxy Reactive Diluent ERISYS GE-20, epoxidized neopentyl glycol, is a low viscosity, aliphatic, diepoxide. It is intended for use as a reactive diluent for high viscosity epoxy resins. GE-20 is compatible at all concentrations with those resins and resin/diluent blends can be cured using any epoxy resin curing agent. As a result of its chemical structure GE-20 is not as effi-cient in viscosity reduction as the aliphatic mono- func-tional reactive diluents ERISYS GE-5, GE-6, GE-7, and GE-8. However, the performance properties of epoxy formulations diluted with GE-20 are modified to a lesser degree than those of systems containing the aliphatic monofunctional diluents. Depending on concentration, properties such as gel time, strength, and modulus of a GE-20 diluted formulation remain relatively unchanged compared to an undiluted resin (see graphs and tables below). The difunctionality of GE-20 helps to produce formulations with improved chemical and heat resis-tance compared to formulations containing monofunc-tional diluents. Potting & Encapsulation Electronics Flooring Concrete/Civil Engineering Adhesives General Purpose Adhesives Tooling Low viscosity, aliphatic, diepoxide, epoxidized neopentyl glycol. Used as a reactive diluent for high viscosity epoxy resins in adhesives. Possesses compatibility at all concentrations with those resins and any epoxy resin curing agent. Improves chemical and heat resistance. Applications : concrete, civil engineering and general purpose adhesives.
