They have a high density, a low oil absorption, and a low refractive index. Barytes are radiopaque, and they are UV light reflectors. They positively impact the performance properties of formulated products. CIMBAR grade barytes combine these properties with a high brightness; making them useful in lighter colors, whites and clears. CIMBAR barytes products are made using only the highest quality bright white, natural barium sulfate CIMBAR’s unique properties of fine grind, high specific gravity, low solubility, high brightness and chemical inertness make them ideal for many applications.
