They have a high density, a low oil absorption, and a low refractive index. Barytes are radiopaque, and they are UV light reflectors. They positively impact the performance properties of formulated products. CIMBAR grade barytes combine these properties with a high brightness; making them useful in lighter colors, whites and clears. Barytes pigments perform well in high solids, solvent and water borne applications.
