DSX 3116 Polyurethane Cognis Rheology Modifiers / Thickeners >> Urethane (HEUR) Acrylics/ Acrylates PU - Prepolymers Polyvinyl acetate emulsions & derivatives (PVAc…) Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) ADHESIVE >> Water-based SEALANT >> Putty Non-ionic rheology modifier for waterborne coatings. Polyurethane emulsion in 1,2 propylenglycol/water. DSX 3116 gives to aqueous systems a pseudoplastic behavior. DSX 3116 itself is film building, shows good affinity to pigments and thickening independent from pH-value. The following advantages are obtained: improvement of flow and gloss increase of hiding power wash and scrub resistance outstanding spatter resistance during roller application. These properties can be achieved in all kind of emulsions based on e.g. acrylic copolymer, vinyl acetate homopolymer, acrylic polmyers, PVAc-VC copolymers, polyurethanes, amine neutralized and emulsified systems. DSX 3116 is suitable for thickening and modification of flow properties of waterborne polymers as well as for products based on polymeric binders like water based putties, adhesives. The recommended dosage lies between 1.0 - 3.0 % of DSX® 3116, calculated on total formulation. It depends on pigmentation, kind of binder, emulsifier used and co-solvent. Non-ionic polyurethane rheology modifier. Suits for thickening and modification of flow properties of waterborne polymers as well as for products based on polymeric binders like water based putties and adhesives. Gives a pseudoplastic behavior. Improves flow and gloss. Increases hiding power. Provides wash and scrub resistance and outstanding spatter resistance during roller application. Use level: 1.0-3.0 % on total formulation.
