Foamaster 8034 FA Blend of hydrocarbons and non-ionic surfactants Cognis Defoamers / Anti-Foaming Agents ADHESIVE >> Water-based Defoamer for emulsion adhesives Formula based on hydrocarbons and non-ionic surfactants FOAMASTER 8034FA is a highly effective liquid defoamer which can be added at any stage in emulsion paint manufacture. It is especially effective in the fine particle resin emulsions. Although it is only sparingly dispersible in water, the defoamer disperses easily in adhesives, so that even in a medium viscosity adhesives there is no tendency of the defoamer to cream to the surface. From 0.2 to 0.5 % of FOAMASTER 8034FA should be used, calculated on the weight of the finished paint. If required, the amount used can be raised to 1 %. Normally the defoamer is added undiluted at the beginning of the paint mixing cycle, which ensures thorough dispersion of the defoamer and complete deaeration of the pigment.
