Genamid 2000 Amidoamine Cognis Crosslinking / Coupling / Curing Agents >> Amines /Amides >> amidoamine Epoxy (EP) ADHESIVE Genamid® 2000 is a moderately-low viscosity amidoamine resin designed for use with liquid or solid epoxy resins. Genamid® 2000 has good compatibility with a wide range of epoxy products. Although somewhat higher in viscosity than Genamid® 250, this resin offers generally faster curing times. Coatings based on Genamid® 2000 show a unique combination of high chemical and water resistance coupled with hardness and flexibility. The ratio of Genamid® 2000 and reactive epoxy resins can be varied greatly to produce coatings with a full range of properties from hard and brittle to tough and rubbery. Unlike typical polyamide curing agents, Genamid® 2000/epoxy systems give fast cure at lower temperatures. Genamid® 2000 is useful in reactive epoxy concrete toppings, adhesives, laminates and industrial paint coatings. This resin is ideally suited for high solids formulations with low viscosity epoxy resins. Coatings based on Genamid® 2000 and Versamid® 280-B75 meet the stringent requirements outlined in the U.S. Naval Specification MIL P-24441 for corrosion resistant primers and topcoats. Moderately-low viscosity amidoamine resin. Used as curing agent for liquid or solid epoxy resins in adhesives. Suits for high solids formulations with low viscosity. Offers high chemical and water resistance, hardness and flexibility.
