Hydropalat 680 Dihexyl sulphosuccinate, sodium salt Cognis Surfactants Acrylics/ Acrylates Rubber - Elastomer (Chloroprene, Butyl …) ADHESIVE >> Water-based Dihexyl sulphosuccinate, sodium salt. Highly efficient wetting agent While exhibiting good emulsifying and stabilizing properties in polymer dispersions, HYDROPALAT® 680 has only a weak surfactant character due to the relatively short C-chains of the ester alcohol. These surfactant properties are manifest by a reduced foaming tendency and a relatively high critical micelle concentration of approx. 5 g active substance/l. HYDROPALAT® 680 must be diluted with care in water. In the region of 50 - 70 % active substance liquid-crystalline phases may occur. Below 50 % activity HYDROPALAT® 680 is miscible with water in any ratio. It is recommended to stir the wetting agent into water and not vice versa. HYDROPALAT® 680 is used as a wetting agent in aqueous coatings, printing inks and related systems. Because of its good wetting properties it is particularly suitable for difficult-to-wet substrates such as plastics, cellulose film, aluminium and plastic foils, silicone treated papers or glass. HYDROPALAT® 680 is an anionic emulsifier which can be used in the manufacture of vinyl acetate/butadiene/styrene, acrylic and styrene-acrylic latices. Polymer dispersions stabilized with HYDROPALAT® 680 generally excel by their fine particle size, good wetting properties and low viscosity. To improve the shear and electrolyte stability of such dispersions, the use of HYDROPALAT® 680 together with higher ethoxylated non-ionic surfactants (Disponil® LS, TA and NP types) is recommended. Anionic dihexyl sulphosuccinate, sodium salt. Used as a wetting agent and emulsifier in aqueous adhesives. Exhibits good emulsifying and stabilizing properties in polymer dispersions. Offers good wetting properties and suits for difficult-to-wet substrates such as plastics, cellulose film, aluminium and plastic foils, silicone treated papers or glass. Can be used in the manufacture of vinyl acetate/butadiene/ styrene, acrylic and styrene-acrylic latices. Provides fine particle size, good wetting properties and low viscosity. Used with higher ethoxylated non-ionic surfactants to improve the shear and electrolyte stability of dispersions.
