Benzyl Tuex Tetrabenzyl thiuram disulfide Crompton-Uniroyal Chemical Catalysts / Accelerators / Vulcanizing agents >> Thiuram sulfide Rubber - Elastomer (Chloroprene, Butyl …) ADHESIVE SEALANT BENZYL TUEX ® Accelerator tetrabenzyl thiuram disulfide Benzyl Tuex does not react to form nitrosamines considered harmful to laboratory animals. Nonstaining and nondiscoloring at recommended levels. Benzyl Tuex may be used as a primary or secondary accelerator in natural and synthetic rubbers. Applications include tire compounds, wire insulation, mechanical goods, sponge and dense weatherstripping, footwear, sheeting and hose. As an activator for sulfenamide and thiazole accelerators, Benzyl Tuex has been found to be a replacement for tetramethyl thiuram monosulfide (TMTM) and tetramethyl thiuram disulfide (TMTD) which for detectable Benzyl Tuex® is a sulfur donating ultra accelerator for sulfur cures in synthetic rubbers, including nitrile (e.g. Paracril®) and EPDM (e.g. Royalene®). Low sulfur vulcanizates made with Benzyl Tuex have "super aging" characteristics. It is an effective ultra accelerator to eliminate airborne nitrosamines. Nonstaining and nondiscoloring tetrabenzyl thiuram disulfide. Used as a sulfur donating ultra accelerator in synthetic rubbers, including nitrile and EPDM. Can be used as a primary or secondary accelerator in natural and synthetic rubbers. Provides "super aging" characteristics. Does not react to form nitrosamines and eliminates airborne nitrosamines.
