Celogen OT for Rubber p-p’-oxbis (benzensulfonyl hydrazide) Crompton-Uniroyal Chemical Surfactants Surfactants >> Amides Chloroprene Rubber (CR) Rubber - Elastomer (Chloroprene, Butyl …) Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) SEALANT >> Pre-formed tape / Gasket CELOGEN® OT Chemical Foaming Agent p-p’-oxbis (benzensulfonyl hydrazide) Very strong activators include treaded urea (BIK ® OT), triethanolamine and peroxides. Moderate activators include calcium oxide, calcium stearate, stearic acid, cadmium and lead type vinyl stabilizers. Weak activators include adipic acid, benzoic acid, salicylic acid, citric acid, lead stearate and zinc stearate. Nondiscoloring; decomposition residue is white. General purpose relatively low temperature foaming agent for sponge rubber and expanded plastic which require fine, uniform, closed cell structure. Closures with Sealing Gaskets for Food Containers Celogen® OT is a nonstaining, nondiscoloring and odorless nitrogen foaming agent for sponge rubber and expanded plastics. Decomposes slowly at 130ºC (266ºF); most effective gas evolution at 150-160ºC (302-320ºF). Effective in natural, SBR, Neoprene, nitrile (e.g. Paracril®) and butyl rubbers as well as polyvinyl chloride. Nondiscoloring, nonstaining and odorless p-p’-oxbis (benzensulfonyl hydrazide). Used as a relatively low temperature foaming agent for sponge rubber and expanded plastic. Provides fine, uniform, closed cell structures. Can be used in combination with very strong activators such as treated urea, triethanolamine and peroxides, moderate activators such as calcium oxide, calcium stearate, stearic acid, cadmium and lead type vinyl stabilizers, and weak activators such as adipic acid, benzoic acid, salicylic acid, citric acid, lead stearate and zinc stearate. Can be used in natural, SBR, neoprene, nitrile and butyl rubbers and in polyvinyl chloride. Applications : closures with sealing gaskets for food containers.
