Synergistic with thioesters, phosphites and other phenolic antioxidants. DISCOLORATION: Nonstaining and nondiscoloring. For natural rubber, SBR, Neoprene, nitrile (Paracril ® ) rubbers, plastics, petroleum products, various food products and as a polymerization inhibitor for monomers. The food grade is approved by the FDA as a direct food additive. This nonstaining phenolic antioxidant is used in NR, SBR, CR and NBR. It has broad FDA approval for use in rubber compounds contacting food. Also used as a stabilizer for SBR, BR and NBR (e.g. Paracril®) in combination with phosphites (e.g. Polygard®) or other phenolic antioxidants. 2,6-di-t-butyl-4-methylphenol.
