Naugard J for Rubber N,N’-diphenyl-p-phenylenediamine Crompton-Uniroyal Chemical Antioxidants >> Amine Rubber - Elastomer (Chloroprene, Butyl …) Polyolefins (PE, PP…) ADHESIVE NAUGARD ® J Antioxidant N,N’-diphenyl-p-phenylenediamine In natural rubber, it protects against degradation due to copper and manganese and gives excellent protection against outdoor flexing and static weather cracking. Causes dark brown discoloration in vulcanized compounds exposed to light. Nonstaining to fabric by migration, but stains lacquer. Natural and synthetic rubber tires, mechanical goods, electric cable jackets and molded shoes where excellent resistance to flex is desired. Levels recommended are 0.25 phr in natural rubber and 0.4 phr in SBR. A light gray surface bloom will occur if used in excess of recommended levels. Naugard® J is an antioxidant for use in rubber, polyethylene, petroleum and vegetable oils. In natural rubber it protects against copper and manganese and gives excellent protection against outdoor flexing and static weather cracking. Protects against thermal oxidation in polyethylene, inhibits gum formation and degradation at elevated temperature in petroleum oils. Available in pastille and powder form. N,N’-diphenyl-p-phenylenediamine. Used as antioxidant in adhesives. Offers protection against degradation due to copper and manganese and very good protection against outdoor flexing and static weather cracking in natural rubber. Gives protection against thermal oxidation in polyethylene. Inhibits gum formation and degradation at elevated temperature in petroleum oils.
