Royalene 509 Ethylene-propylene diene terpolymer Crompton-Uniroyal Chemical Rubber - Elastomer >> Ethylene-propylene diene terpolymer, EPDM ROYALENE ® 509 " An Ultra Fast Curing Polymer for Sponge and Dense Extrusions " High unsaturation - Ultra fast cure rate High Ethylene - Maintains short mixing cycles and good green strength properties even when extended with high level of filler and plasticizer Excellent extruded profile shape stability Friable bale form provides excellent dispersion properties Non-staining Excellent weathering resistance Co-cures well with SBR Super soft closed cell sponge profile extrusions Dense profile extrusions Closed cell sheet sponge Blends with lower ethylene or lower plasticity polymers to improve green strength Royalene® 509 EPDM is a terpolymer of ethylene, propylene and a non-conjugated diene (ENB). This medium Mooney, ultra-fast curing polymer offers excellent shape stability in extruded profiles and friable bales for rapid mixing. The primary applications for Royalene 509 are automotive flocked window channels and dual durometer sponge and dense extrusions. This grade is also used in blends with SBR rubber. Non-staining ultra fast curing ethyle-propylene diene terpolymer (EPDM). Possesses high ethylene content. Maintains short mixing cycles and good green strength properties. Provides very good extruded profile shape stability, very good dispersion properties and weathering resistance. Can be used in blends with SBR rubber.
