Drapex 10.4 Epoxidized linseed oil Crompton-Witco Oils (Process / Natural) Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Epoxidized Linseed oil DRAPEX ® 10.4 EPOXY PLASTICIZER DESCRIPTION Drapex 10.4 plasticizer is designed specifically to provide non-toxic vinyl compounds with optimum heat stabilizing action when used with primary metallic stabilizers such as Witco’s line of calcium-zinc additives. It provides one of the highest oxirane oxygen contents available. The value of Drapex epoxy plasticizers in general, to enhance both heat and light stability is widely recognized. These materials have taken their place as one of the most important classes of additives used in vinyl compounding. In the development of rigid packaging (e.g. blow molded bottles and thermoformed sheet) the need for more effective ‘calcium-zinc’ type stabilizer systems has become acute. One of the most efficient methods for boosting the effectiveness of these additives is through the addition of Drapex 10.4 plasticizer. This synergism results from the use of only small concentrations of the epoxy, thereby preserving maximum physical properties of the finished package. Heat distortion temperatures remain high and impact resistance is virtually unaffected. Epoxidized linseed oil plasticizer. Can be used in combination with primary metallic stabilizers such as calcium-zinc additives to provide non-toxic vinyl compounds with optimum heat stabilizing action. Offers high oxirane oxygen content. Enhances heat and light stability.
