The activating effect of Actafoam® R-3 for azodicarbonamide foaming agents equals that of most efficient lead stabilizers. Compared to zinc oxide, Actafoam® R-3 provides a more moderate level of activation. This material also imparts good heat and light stability to foamed vinyl compositions under typical processing and service conditions. It may also be used in EPDM and PVC/nitrile sponge compositions.
