Celogen SD-200 Azodicarbonamide Crompton Surfactants Surfactants >> Amides Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) SEALANT >> Plastisol Chemical Foaming Agents CELOGEN ® SD-200 and SD-125 Dispersions for Plastics CELOGEN SD-200 and CELOGEN SD-125 are homogeneous dispersions of CELOGEN AZ-120 and CELOGEN AZ-140 azodicarbonamides, respectively, in a phthalate ester plasticizer. CELOGEN SD dispersions eliminate dust, improve dispersability in PVC plastisols, and may be metered directly into the manufacturing process. They are offered as alternatives to azodicarbonamide powders. CELOGEN SD dispersions require no additional milling, and may be added directly to vinyl plastisols and other polymer systems. Thorough agitation of the dispersions before use may be necessary due to settling of the solids during storage. CELOGEN SD dispersions are thixtropic. They should be mechanically stirred for 5 minutes before measuring viscosity. CELOGEN SD dispersions are suggested for azodicarbonamide applications where dusty powders are a concern; where dispersability of azodicarbonamide is of concern; or where the foaming agent is to be metered directly into the manufacturing process. CELOGEN SD-125 is the general-purpose dispersion recommended for most azodicarbonamide applications. CELOGEN SD-200 is suggested for applications where the fastest rate of gas release and lower processing temperatures are desired. Depending on the application, use levels may range from 0.1 phr (parts per hundred resin) to greater than 10 phr. Thixotropic homogeneous dispersion of azodicarbonamide in a phthalate ester plasticizer. Used as a foaming agent in plastisols. Eliminates dust. Improves dispersability in PVC plastisols. Can be added directly to vinyl plastisols and other polymer systems. Use level : 0.1-10 phr.
