It contains a small particle size azodicarbonamide (CELOGEN AZ-120), and a foaming agent activator dispersed in a liquid vehicle compatible with vinyl compounds. CELOGEN SDA-200 displays a faster rate of decomposition relative to other foaming agent systems based on azodicarbonamide. Its use permits the expansion of vinyl materials at lower temperatures and shorter residence times. CELOGEN SDA-200 yields light colored vinyl foams free of objectionable staining and bloom. CELOGEN SDA-200 may be added directly to preblended compositions with slight agitation. No milling is required. CELOGEN SDA-200 is thixotropic. It should be mechanically stirred for 5 minutes before measuring its viscosity. Thixotropic activated azodicarbonamide dispersion with a foaming agent activator dispersed in a liquid vehicle. Used as a foaming agent for the production of chemically foamed cellular vinyl compositions. Displays a fast rate of decomposition. Provides expansion of vinyl materials at low temperatures and short residence times. Yields light colored vinyl foams free of objectionable staining and bloom.
