Uraplast W 8 is a low viscous polymeric plasticiser, based on orthophthalic acid. Uraplast W 8 has an approximate molecular weight (Mn) of 900. Uraplast W 8 is a polymeric plasticiser for artificial leather, tarpaulins, construction foils and self adhesive and/ or electrical foils and tapes. Thanks to its oil and heat resistance, it is suitable for cables, conveyor belts and protective clothing. The gelation temperature in PVC of Uraplast W 8 is low for a polymeric plasticiser, and only slightly above that for DOP. Uraplast W 8 has fair resistance to oils and fats. The resistance to water and soap solutions is excellent. Uraplast W 8 has high temperature resistance. It gives good cold flexibility in PVC.
