TEGO ® Antifoam 204 provides reliable foam control in aqueous media and may therefore be used for foam control in a variety of industrial applications: in the processing and application of polymer dispersions/latices* in a multitude of other industrial applications where the use of traditional silicone oil based antifoams is restricted for certain reasons excellent long-term efficiency, combined with maximum compatibility with most polymer dispersions no silicone related side effects, e. g. fish eyes, surface defects, dewetting etc. This results in a unique product profile which cannot be achieved either with organic or with traditional silicone oil based antifoams. A predilution of TEGO ® Antifoam 204 can be beneficial depending on the application in question. The ration should be between 1 : 1 to 1 : 10. Depending on the application the required dosage may vary over a wide range (0.05 - 0.5 %); suitable screening tests are therefore recommended (initial dosage: 0.1 %). Emulsion based on organo-modified siloxane. Used as an antifoam in water-based adhesives. Provides reliable foam control in aqueous media. Offers very good long-term efficiency and compatibility, and no silicone related side effects, e. g. fish eyes, surface defects, dewetting etc. Use level: 0.05-0.5 %.
