This product is complementary to our standard system and is used to provide controlled release values in combination with TEGO ® RC 902/ TEGO ® RC 711 resp. TEGO ® RC 715/TEGO ® RC 711). TEGO ® RC 709 is used for the manufacturing of release coatings with controlled release properties for self adhesive products, like e. g. Self adhesive labels Self adhesive tapes Hygiene products and many more. TEGO ® RC 709 is a further development of our controlled release component TEGO ® RC 708. Substantial differences are improved ageing properties, considerably faster reaction time and easier processing. Release coatings prepared with TEGO ® RC 709 show smooth release behaviour and constant release values over a wide range of stripping speeds and are especially suitable for achieving differential release properties. TEGO ® RC 709 may be cured by either electron beam or ultraviolet radiation (UV-curing requires the addition of a suitable photoinitiator. Controlled release values are obtained e. g. from blends of TEGO ® RC 709 and TEGO ® RC 902 or TEGO ® RC 715. The exact ratio is determined by the choice of adhesives. Generally, in order to achieve good adhesion on all substrates the addition of 30 % TEGO ® RC 711 is necessary.
