TPSiV 3010-50A Thermoplastic silicone vulcanizate Dow Corning-Multibase Silicone (Si) SEALANT >> Pre-formed tape / Gasket TPSiV is a Thermoplastic Silicone Vulcanizate. These materials are alloy type thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) consisting of fully cured silicone particles dispersed in a continuous phase of engineering thermoplastic. They combine the high temperature elastomeric performance of silicone rubber with the melt re-processability and thermal and chemical resistance of engineering thermoplastics. TPSiV materials have a wide range of hardness, from 50 Shore A to 60 Shore D, excellent high temperature performance in air, excellent abrasion resistance, excellent resistance to chemicals including fuel and oil, as well as low compression set and tensile set at elevated temperatures. The TPSiV™ 3000 series materials offer a unique combination of high-temperature performance, oil and chemical resistance, softness, and high elasticity "all in one" formulation. These materials also offer high performance under harsh environmental conditions, and resistance to extreme temperatures, abrasion and chemical attack. TPSiV™ 3010-50A is the first soft TPE with hardness of 50 Shore A and excellent tensile property retention at a continuous use temperature above (CUT) of 150°C (302°F). It also has excellent durability and hydrolytic resistance. It sustains its original physical properties when immersed in water for 1,000 hours in 100°C (212°F). This grade is particularly suitable for applications requiring sealing properties, overmolding process and hydrolytic stability. Fully cured silicone particles dispersed in a continuous phase of engineering thermoplastic. Used in seals and gaskets. Offers high temperature elastomeric performance, melt re-processability, thermal and chemical resistance, very good high temperature performance in air, abrasion resistance, resistance to chemicals including fuel and oil, low compression set and tensile set at elevated temperatures. Provides softness, high elasticity, very good tensile property retention, durability and hydrolytic resistance and sealing properties.
