Viton TBR-501C fluoroelastomer Dupont Dow Elastomers Fluoropolymers SEALANT ADHESIVE In adhesives applications, Viton forms a strong bond that can flex without failure after repeated temperature cycling and vibration. Terpolymer of tetrafluoroethylene, vinylidene fluoride, and propylene, plus cure chemicals Viton TBR-501C is a nominal 50 Mooney viscosity, bisphenol curative-containing precompound, designed and formulated for optimized performance in applications which demand resistance to the very aggressive additive packages typical of those used in today’s long-life lubricating oils and greases. Vulcanizates based on Viton TBR-501C are highly resistant to amines, and amine-based additives, and provide excellent service ability in aggressive motor oils, extreme pressure bearing greases, transmission fluids, and coolants that contain high levels of very aggressive corrosion inhibitors. Viton TBR-501C features: Incorporated bisphenol cure system Excellent resistance to highly basic (high pH) fluids and chemicals, including amines, and amine-based corrosion inhibitors Viscosity, rheology, and cure/scorch characteristics suitable for compression molding Excellent mold release Good hot tear resistance, good demolding performance in molds with undercuts Very good compression set resistance Compression molding of bonded, dynamic seals, such as shaft seals, valve stem seals, etc. Compression molded O-rings and gaskets Bisphenol curative terpolymer of tetrafluoroethylene, vinylidene fluoride, and propylene.
