Duvilax bd-20 Homopolymeric polyvinyl acetate Duslo Polyvinyl acetate emulsions & derivatives (PVAc…) >> PVAc homopolymers ADHESIVE building industry paints and coating materials paper industry adhesives manufacture textile industry A homopolymeric polyvinyl acetate dispersion containing dibutyl phthalate acting as softener. The emulsion system is composed of non-ionogenous emulsifier and polyvinyl alcohol acting as protective colloid. Containers of 1 kg and 5 kg have biocide added to them. An aqueous white-colored dispersion with a characteristic odour. It is non-toxic, non-combustible, inexplosive, posing no health or hygienic hazards, and biodegradable. The dispersion film is transparent, flexible and mildly adhesive. It is water-insoluble but it tends to swell. Duvilax® BD-20 is used to manufacture coating compositions and plastering materials and as additive of polymer-cement mortars, concrete as well as other building materials acting as plasticizing component. It improves elasticity, adhesiveness, shock and oil resistance and blocks water permeability. It is suitable for penetration of the highly absorptive ground. In paper industry it is used to manufacture smooth and corrugated cardboard, tubes, to stick boxes, bags, and at the manufacture of books. It is used, when appropriately modified, in fibre, fabrics and carpet finishing. Aqueous, white-colored, non-toxic, non-combustible, inexplosive, biodegradable homopolymeric polyvinyl acetate dispersion. Contains dibutyl phthalate acting as softener. Used in the manufacture of adhesives. Improves elasticity, adhesiveness, shock and oil resistance and blocks water permeability. Applications: smooth and corrugated cardboard, tubes, boxes, bags, and books.
