This sulfopolyester has utility in recyclable/repulpable aqueous or hot-melt adhesive applications. Hot-melt adhesives, Pressure-sensitive adhesives, repulpable tape and label products. Water-based adhesives, the AQ's can be easily dispersed in 80C-100C tape water. 30% dispersions are typical. These dispersions can be incorporated neat or added as adhesion aids to acrylic water based adhesives. The branched AQ polymers have excellent adhesion to polyolefin substrates, like polyethylene.
