They are available in a wide range of grades (see below) and offer many performance benefits, including excellent titanium dioxide extension, improved color, gloss control, dispersion, stain resistance and enamel holdout. For example, in adhesive applications, ASP functional extenders improve and speed wet tack, increase viscosity, speed drying and reduce costs. In inks, ASP products improve color development and holdout to prevent strikethrough and reduce costs. ASP 600: fine particle size, standard brightness grade for use in primers and gravure inks. Hydrous aluminosilicate. Possesses fine particle size and standard brightness. Used as an extender and an additive in adhesives.
