They are available in a wide range of grades (see below) and offer many performance benefits, including excellent titanium dioxide extension, improved color, gloss control, dispersion, stain resistance and enamel holdout. For example, in adhesive applications, ASP functional extenders improve and speed wet tack, increase viscosity, speed drying and reduce costs. In inks, ASP products improve color development and holdout to prevent strikethrough and reduce costs. ASP NCS: fine particle size, highly delaminated grade for use in water-borne flat and eggshell architectural coatings. Highly delaminated, hydrous aluminosilicate. Possesses fine particle size. Used as an extender and an additive in adhesives. Offers very good titanium dioxide extension, improved color, gloss control, dispersion, stain resistance and enamel holdout. Improves and speeds wet tack. Increases viscosity and speed drying.
