Escorez 2101 Aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbon ExxonMobil Chemical Tackifier >> Hydrocarbon resin >> Mixed aliphatic / aromatic Rubber - Elastomer (Chloroprene, Butyl …) Ethylene co-terpolymers - solid (EVA, EMA...) SEALANT ADHESIVE >> Hot-melt ADHESIVE >> Hot-melt >> Pressure sensitive (HMPSA) This aromatic modified aliphatic resin has enhanced compatibility with even more polar materials such as ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymers. The resin is also excellent tackifier for styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) and SBR-type rubbers. Escorez 2101 belongs to a family of resins containing both aliphatic and aromatic structures giving excellent compatibility with natural and most synthetic rubbers and with EVA copolymers. Its main characteristics are : good adhesion to a wide variety of substrates low melt viscosity in wax/resin/EVA blends good flexibility in hot melt compounds good tackification of SBR, SIS and SBS block copolymers Escorez 2101 provides low viscosity, highly flexible plasticised blends having good adhesion to difficult surfaces such as polyethylene, aluminium foil, kraft paper. It is suitable for low temperature packaging applications, as well as for bookbinding and woodworking. In PSA applications, Escorez 2101 with natural rubber gives good tack and reasonable shear, with good flow and low viscosity. It improves unwinding properties of film based tapes. In combination with SBR and thermoplastic rubber (SIS, SBS), it is used as a general purpose tackifier, providing low viscosity. Aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbon. Gives good compatibility with natural and most synthetic rubbers and with EVA copolymers. Provides good adhesion to a wide variety of substrates, low melt viscosity in wax/resin/EVA blends, good flexibility in hot melt compounds and good tackification of SBR, SIS and SBS block copolymers.
