The resin is also excellent tackifier for styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) and SBR-type rubbers. Escorez 2211 belongs to a family of resins containing both aliphatic and aromatic structures giving excellent compatibility with natural and most synthetic rubbers and with EVA copolymers. Its main characteristics are : low level unsaturation high viscosity stability good mechanical properties in hot melt compounds good adhesion on a wide range of surfaces Escorez 2211 gives high adhesion on various kinds of substrates, due to its good compatibility with EVA copolymers. In addition, it is suitable for low temperature (around 0 °C) applications. Escorez 2211 is particularly suitable as a tackifier for SIS copolymers providing very good tack and shear properties. It allows formulations at low plasticizer level. Escorez 2211 gives high adhesion to recycled cardboard when used in SIS based HMPSA compounds. Aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbon.
