The polymer compatibility make it suitable for use in formulation of packaging or assembly hot melt adhesives. Winlex4100 is a pentaerythritol ester of rosin which has been stabilized to provide excellent heat and aging stability. Useful in a wide variety of adhesives due to its stability, low volatility and polymer compatibility. Soluble in aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbon solvents(petroleum benzine, mineral spirit, benzene, ethyl acetate, acetone),esters, ketones and chlorinated solvents. Insoluble in alcohol and water. Compatible with Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) polymers,Ethylene Ethyl Acrylate, Styrene-Isoprene-Styrene (SIS), Styrene- Butadiene-Styrene (SBS), SBR, natural rubber, butyl rubber, neoprene, acrylic, LMW polyethylene, amorphous polypropylene and other polymers and with phthalate and polyester plasticizers, alkyds, hydrocarbon resins and terpene resins. Use in EVA, SBS, SIS, other hot melt adhesives, pressure sensitive adhesives, construction adhesives, rubber compounding, sealants, coatings and other applications. Pentaerythritol ester of rosin. Possesses stability, low volatility, good polymer compatibility (EVA, EEA, SIS, SBS, SBR, rubber, neoprene, acrylic, LMW polyethylene, amorphous polypropylene) and compatibility with phthalate and polyester plasticizers, alkyds, hydrocarbon resins and terpene resins. Used as a tackifier for adhesives and sealants. Provides very good heat and aging stability. Applications : pressure sensitive adhesives, packaging or assembly hot melt adhesives, construction adhesives and sealants.
