It will tackify SBR and high vinylacetate EVA polymers. Wingtack 86 is an aromatically modified C-5 hydrocarbon resin. A light yellow resin, Wingtack 86, possesses an excellent balance of tack, peel and cohesive strength; light color, low odor and volatility; low melt viscosity and low specific gravity; and very good viscosity and color stability at compounding temperatures. This resin offers high compatibility with amorphous polypropylene, butyl rubber, EPDM, ethylene-alpha olefin copolymers, waxes, EVA copolymers with <28% vinyl acetate, low MW polyethylene, polyisoprene, SIS block polymers. It is also generally soluble in organic solvents having low to medium polarity. Wingtack 86 is a broad scope tackifier for hot melt and solvent-borne pressure sensitive adhesives; and a modifying resin for hot melt adhesives, roadmarking paints, EVA and wax coatings, and sealants.
