Wingtack Plus Aromatically modified C5 hydrocarbon resin 62258-49-5 Goodyear Chemical Tackifier >> Hydrocarbon resin >> Mixed aliphatic / aromatic Styrene block copolymers, SBC (SBS, SIS, SEBS...) SEALANT ADHESIVE >> Hot-melt ADHESIVE >> Solvent based >> Pressure sensitive (PSA) Hydrocarbon Resins (WINGTACK ® ) WINGTACK resins are tackifying and modifying resins based on C5, hydrocarbon monomers. After their introduction in the mid 60s as co-products of Goodyear isoprene technology, WINGTACK resins have grown in acceptance and volume; they are now recognized as the leading synthetic resins for pressure sensitive adhesives and hot melts. Because of their unique chemistry, WINGTACK resins can be used in many of the applications where most other hydrocarbon resins do not adequately perform. Their light color, high tack properties, low specific gravity, oxidative stability and day-to-day consistency of properties make these resins excellent tackifiers for pressure sensitive adhesives. In addition to the aforementioned properties, low melt viscosity and good heat stability have resulted in the quick acceptance of WINGTACK resins in hot melt adhesives and coatings. WINGTACK resins are also currently being used as tackifiers and/or processing aids (to help in mixing, molding and extruding) with EPDM, SBR, Natsyn, butyl, SIS and a variety of other elastomers.
