The flame retardant additives are predispersed in a powder form to provide a complete flame retardant in one package. The predispersion of the additives provides ease of use, reduced inventory, aid in the achievement of optimum physical properties in the final polymer let down and can provide improved efficiency. Fyrebloc® 7DB-201 is intended as a flame retardant system for a wide range of applications including thermoplastics such as polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, nylon, engineering thermoplastic alloys, thermoplastic elastomers, rubbers, thermosets including epoxies and polyesters adhesives, coatings and textiles. The system is formulated to provide an optimum and cost efficient balance of Bromine and Antimony and good heat stability. It would typically be used at a 15% to 30% addition level, depending on the specific application and the flame retardancy requirement. Blend of decabromodiphenyl oxide and antimony trioxide.
