ZB-467 Zinc borate 1332-07-6 Great Lakes Flame and Smoke Retardants >> Zinc Borate Vegetable based Epoxy (EP) Polyamides (PA) Polyesters Rubber - Elastomer (Chloroprene, Butyl …) PU - Prepolymers Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Polyolefins (PE, PP…) ADHESIVE ZB-467 Zinc Borate ZB-467 is a flame retardant / smoke suppressant in polyamides, PVC, polyethylene, polypropylene, epoxy, polyesters, elastomers and rubber based formulations. The particle size and refractive index of ZB-467 results in the product having very little pigmenting power (tinting strength), minimizing pigment loading and in translucent formulations. ZB-467 also finds applications as an afterglow suppressant and anti-arcing agent. The product is recommended for most thermoplastics including polyamides, where the high thermal stability allows processing up to 280 o C. It is also recommended for polyurethanes thermoset resins, plastisols, adhesives and cellulosics and textiles coating applications. Zinc borate. Used as a flame retardant/smoke suppressant in adhesives applications. Possesses compatibility with polyamides, PVC, polyethylene, polypropylene, epoxy, polyesters, elastomers, rubber, polyurethanes, cellulosic and thermoset resins, and very little pigmenting power. Can be used as an afterglow suppressant and an anti-arcing agent.
