Polycup 1884 Polyamide-epichlorohydrin Hercules Crosslinking / Coupling / Curing Agents >> Amines /Amides Vegetable based Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVOH) Styrene copolymers ADHESIVE >> Water-based Polycup® 1884 Crosslinking Resin is a water-soluble, polyamide-epichlorohydrin crosslinking agent for carboxylated SBR latices, CMC, polyvinyl alcohol, and other water-soluble polymers. It also reacts with starch to impart water resistance. In latex-based adhesives, the addition of as little as 0.5% Polycup solids, based on latex solids, will increase green bond strength of the adhesive and improve its modulus, tensile strength, and dimensional stability. Water-based formulation Contains no formaldehyde Cures under neutral pH conditions Easy-to-handle liquid Use With Starch: Starch-based coatings and adhesives can be made water-resistant by adding Polycup resin to the starch either prior to cooking or afterwards, in amounts ranging from 2 to 20% resin solids, based on starch solids. Water-soluble, formaldehyde-free, polyamide-epichlorohydrin. Used as a crosslinking agent for carboxylated SBR latices, CMC, polyvinyl alcohol, starch and other water-soluble polymers in adhesives. Provides water resistance. Increases green bond strength. Improves modulus, tensile strength and dimensional stability. Cures under neutral pH conditions.
